PASOK Holds Education Reform Forum in Athens on July 15
On Wednesday, 15 July, the Greek centre‑left party PASOK organized a forum titled “Education Changes in Greece: PASOK’s Proposal” at the “Aris Garoufalis” hall on the ground floor of the Athens Concert Hall.
The programme was divided into three pillars. The “School of Tomorrow” segment discussed digital schooling and artificial intelligence, green and inclusive education. The “Policies and Solutions” segment examined the need for strong teachers, measures against bullying, curriculum reforms and proposals such as abolishing national exams. The final pillar, “Liberating Public Universities”, addressed state regulation, university autonomy and constitutional revision. Speakers included PASOK’s digital‑governance chief Giannis Paziou, environmental specialist Elizabeth Feloni, constitutional law professor Lina Papadopoulou, former prime minister George Papandreou and other academics and educators.
The event closed with a keynote by PASOK president Nikos Androulakis, who framed education as a national priority.
