PASOK – Movement for Change conducts regional outreach and critiques infrastructure management

The PASOK – Movement for Change party conducted a two-day political action program in Kos, involving party officials and MPs. The initiative focused on direct dialogue with citizens, professionals, and local businesses to address regional challenges. Key issues discussed included the rising cost of living, public health services, infrastructure, tourism development, and the specific needs of island communities in the Dodecanese.

Separately, PASOK’s Transport and Infrastructure sector, led by MP A. Nikolaidis, has raised serious transparency concerns regarding the Egnatia Odos highway. The party is questioning the decision to implement single-lane traffic in several tunnels, which has caused significant delays and congestion. The critique focuses on why the state failed to complete tunnel licensing before the concession transfer and whether single-lane restrictions are the only viable safety solution in an era of modern traffic management technology.
