PASOK official rejects cooperation with New Democracy
Anna Diamantopoulou, the PASOK official responsible for political planning, has dismissed rumors of potential post-election cooperation between PASOK and the New Democracy party, describing such scenarios as a ‘very bad joke.’
Speaking on SKAI television, Diamantopoulou emphasized that PASOK’s strategic goal remains achieving political change through an autonomous political path. She stated that the party seeks the best possible electoral performance while maintaining its independence, explicitly noting that cooperation is not possible with either Kyriakos Mitsotakis or Alexis Tsipras.
Addressing concerns regarding potential political instability, Diamantopoulou asserted that there is no risk of the country becoming ungovernable, noting that democratic systems always provide solutions. She argued that pre-election discourse should focus on the specific programs and policy proposals of each party—addressing issues such as the economy, social data, and infrastructure—rather than speculation regarding future coalitions.
