Pasquale Lamberti disappearance investigation linked to Swiss mafia ties

Italian authorities have reopened the investigation into the 2021 disappearance of Milanese entrepreneur Pasquale Lamberti, officially upgrading the case to a murder investigation. Before vanishing, Lamberti left a final message on his phone stating, ‘I am in danger.’

Investigators suspect Lamberti was lured into a deadly trap by individuals acting on behalf of the Calabrian Bruzzaniti clan. The clan is alleged to have defrauded Lamberti of millions and seized his companies. New evidence, including cell tower data, has identified two suspects, Renato M. and Emanuela C., as central figures in the suspected plot.

The investigation has uncovered significant links to Switzerland, where the mafia clan allegedly laundered stolen funds. A network of Swiss lawyers and trustees is suspected of facilitating the movement of assets through shell companies, bank accounts, and luxury vehicles located in Zurich and Schwyz.
