Pasquale Tridico campaigns for Frank Benedetto in Calabria by-elections

Pasquale Tridico, a Member of the European Parliament for the Movimento 5 Stelle, visited Calabria to support Frank Benedetto’s candidacy in the upcoming by-elections for the Chamber of Deputies. The election for the Calabria U05 constituency is scheduled to take place on September 27 and 28.

Benedetto, a physician and former director of the Cardiology-Utic at the Grande Ospedale Metropolitano, is running as a united candidate for the progressive coalition. Tridico emphasized Benedetto’s professional background in healthcare as a key asset for addressing regional issues such as long waiting lists and staff shortages in the Calabrian health system.

During his tour, which included stops in Scilla and Reggio Calabria, Tridico described the campaign as a grassroots effort focused on direct engagement with citizens. He also commented on the regional political landscape, noting a compact field for his coalition despite previous regional election results.
