Passagem de Mariana hosts exhibition celebrating Bloco do Boqueirão

The installation ‘Um Boi, Mil Histórias’ is celebrating the memory and creativity of the Bloco do Boqueirão in Passagem de Mariana. Running from August 17 to September 4 at Casa Brincante, the free exhibition features dolls, objects, photographs, videos, and music to honor this traditional folk culture manifestation.

Developed through the Estação das Histórias project by Clube Osquindô, Casa Brincante, and Bloco do Boqueirão, the initiative uses community stories and donated items to preserve collective memory. The exhibition is also designed to host schools and community groups, offering pedagogical mediation to connect visitors with Brazilian folk traditions.
