Mexico: Passenger found dead on Volaris flight after landing

A 28-year-old woman, identified as Abidai López Solís, was found dead in her seat following a Volaris flight from Tijuana to Tapachula, Chiapas. The incident was discovered by passengers during disembarkation on Wednesday morning after they noticed she was unresponsive.

The four-hour flight proceeded without any reported medical emergencies or requests for emergency landings. Preliminary forensic findings suggest the death was due to natural causes, specifically cardiopulmonary arrest. Authorities have ordered an autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death, though no evidence of foul play has been indicated.

López Solís, originally from Acacoyagua, Chiapas, was traveling home to visit her family. Her relatives identified her body at the prosecutor's office and are arranging for her to be returned to her hometown for burial.
