Passenger finds anti-Israel note in checked luggage during Seattle-Tel Aviv trip
A passenger traveling from Seattle to Tel Aviv discovered a handwritten note containing an anti-Israel profanity inside her checked luggage. Noa Sabar Dvoskin, a 48-year-old Los Angeles native, found the note while unpacking on Monday after flying via Alaska Airlines and El Al.
Dvoskin reported the incident to several authorities, including Alaska Airlines, Los Angeles International Airport, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. embassy in Israel. The passenger expressed feeling “scared and uneasy” following the discovery.
The NGO StopAntisemitism raised concerns regarding potential security implications, questioning the possibility of similar unauthorized access being used for more dangerous purposes in the future.
