Passenger injured in Dodge County single-vehicle crash

A passenger was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 14 near Claremont in Dodge County. The incident occurred around 1:50 p.m. when a Subaru traveling west left the roadway and struck a sign.

According to the State Patrol, the road surface was wet at the time of the accident. The passenger, 40-year-old Sarah Salinas of Mankato, was transported to St. Marys Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, 37-year-old George Lorenzo of Mankato, was not injured. Investigators noted that both occupants were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
