Passenger train derails in Đurđevac, Croatia

A passenger train traveling from Zagreb Glavni kolodvor to Osijek derailed at a level crossing in Vinogradska Street, near the Đurđevac railway station, on Wednesday morning.

HŽ Infrastruktura reported that there were 36 passengers on board at the time of the incident, but no injuries were reported. All passengers were subsequently transported to their destinations using a different train.

Emergency services, including police and three fire engines from the Đurđevac Public Fire Department, responded to the scene. The railway line on the Kloštar – Koprivnica section has been closed for repairs, and replacement bus services have been implemented for travelers. Police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the derailment.
