Passport Reports ranks Swiss passport 9th and Sri Lankan passport 169th

New data from Passport Reports highlights significant disparities in global travel mobility. The Swiss passport is ranked 9th globally, achieving a mobility score of 173. Swiss citizens can access 87.4% of global destinations through visa-free entry, visa on arrival, or electronic travel authorizations (eTA). Notably, Switzerland maintains 100% access to destinations in Europe, South America, the Caribbean, North America, and the Gulf states.

In contrast, the Sri Lankan passport is ranked 169th worldwide with a mobility score of 53. Holders of the Sri Lankan passport can access only 15 countries visa-free, with an additional 34 destinations available via visa on arrival and 4 through eTA. Visas are required for 145 destinations for Sri Lankan travelers. The report notes that the United Arab Emirates holds the top global ranking, followed by Singapore and Spain.
