Pastaza Province Launches Solidarity Campaign to Aid Venezuelan Families
On 29 June 2026, the Provincial Government of Pastaza in Ecuador announced the start of a "Solidarity Campaign for Venezuela." Provincial Political Chief Deyanira Tapia called on residents, institutions, and organisations to donate non‑perishable food, hygiene products, basic medicines, clothing, blankets and baby supplies. Donations will be collected at the main centre in Puyo and at secondary sites in Mera, Santa Clara and Arajuno, with a deadline of 17 July. Tapia stressed that the effort is a gesture of Latin American brotherhood and that all contributions will be recorded, classified and delivered through humanitarian channels to the families in need in Venezuela.
The campaign seeks transparent coordination and invites schools, businesses, churches and neighbourhood groups to participate, promising a detailed report on the items received and their distribution after the collection period ends.
