Pastef appoints Ousmane Mané as interim coordinator for Bignona

Ousmane Sonko, president of the Pastef les Patriotes party, has appointed Ousmane Mané to serve as the interim departmental coordinator for Bignona. The decision, dated October 2, 2026, follows a request from the party's High Authority of Regulation (HARP).

The appointment aims to ensure the continuity of political, administrative, and representative activities in the department following the loss of the previous coordinator's membership status. During this interim period, Nfaly Badji has been designated as the interim assistant departmental coordinator. The appointment will remain in effect until a new coordinator is elected under the guidance of the National Political Bureau.
