Pastisseria Sàbat to reopen in Sant Cugat under new ownership

Pastisseria Sàbat, an emblematic establishment in Sant Cugat that opened in 1951, is set to reopen on September 15 under new ownership. The bakery had previously announced its closure in July due to unforeseen difficulties.

A group of local residents with ties to the restaurant and gastronomic sectors acquired the business to prevent its permanent closure. The new owners intend to preserve the bakery’s character as a local shop and maintain its signature products, including croissants, cakes, and rosetons.

The transition will also maintain the existing professional team, including the bakery staff and most sales assistants. Carme Sàbat, the granddaughter of the founder, will remain part of the team.
