Pasto Chamber of Commerce awaits new government representatives
The Pasto Chamber of Commerce is awaiting the official appointment of new national government representatives to its board of directors. This vacancy follows the issuance of Decree 1369 on September 9, 2026, by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, which terminated all previous government designations for chamber boards across the country.
There are three positions on the Pasto Chamber of Commerce board reserved for national government delegates. Arturo Ortega, the executive president of the chamber, stated that the institution is waiting for direct communication and a presidential decree to proceed in accordance with the chamber's statutes. The entity is also monitoring guidance from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, as well as the Superintendency of Companies.
