The Pasto City Council has resumed extraordinary sessions, which are scheduled to continue until September 18. Among the key items under discussion is a proposal to commit future budget allocations toward the improvement of the city's Animal Welfare Center.
Other projects presented by the Mayor's Office include modifications to the current municipal budget, tax relief measures for debtors of Property Tax and Industry and Commerce Tax, and authorizations for future budget commitments for the Avante project. Councilman Álvaro José Gomezjurado noted that these sessions serve as a precursor to the review of the Municipal Development Plan during the upcoming ordinary sessions in October and November.
