Pasto implements social welfare and LGBTIQ+ leadership initiatives

The municipal government of Pasto is implementing various social and political initiatives to support vulnerable populations. Through the Secretariat of Social Welfare and the 'Habitanza en Calle' program, the city has provided bakery supplies to the 'Resucitados por su Sangre' Foundation. This collaboration aims to support the foundation's work with the homeless population by providing tools for productive occupation and skill development.

Simultaneously, the Secretariat of Women, Sexual Orientations, and Gender Identities hosted the first seminar on LGBTIQ+ political leadership training. The academic event brought together students, community leaders, and university representatives to discuss identity, rights, democracy, and political agendas. The seminar's goal is to strengthen the political participation and decision-making capabilities of the LGBTIQ+ community through technical and academic training.
