Pasto man imprisoned for alleged fatal stabbing

A man has been sent to prison following an investigation into a fatal stabbing in Pasto, Colombia. The Fiscalía General de la Nación identified Carlos Dayan Tenganan Gallego as the alleged perpetrator of the crime.

The incident occurred during a fight in a rural area of Pasto. During the altercation, the victim was attacked with a sharp object and sustained severe injuries. Although bystanders attempted to assist the victim by transporting him to a medical center, he succumbed to his wounds before receiving adequate care.

Following an investigation by the Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación (CTI), Tenganan Gallego was captured in the San Albano neighborhood while executing a judicial order. He has been charged with aggravated homicide. During his court appearance, the defendant did not accept the charges, and a judge ordered him to remain in custody in a correctional facility while the legal process continues.
