Pasto: Pitbull electrocuted by fallen power cables

A pitbull named Zeus died after being electrocuted by live power cables that had fallen onto a public road in the Belén neighborhood of Pasto, Colombia.

The incident followed an earlier emergency where residents reported a fire involving electrical cables on a utility pole. Although the Pasto Fire Department attended the scene to control the fire and CEDENAR, the local electricity provider, was notified, the danger persisted. Around 10:00 PM, cables reportedly detached and remained on the street. Zeus came into contact with one of these cables, resulting in his death.

Local residents expressed distress over the incident and voiced concerns that the electrical hazard could potentially harm a person. Community members noted that the issues with the electrical network had been previously reported to the relevant authorities.
