Pastor indicted for assaulting delivery worker in Minas Gerais

The Civil Police of Minas Gerais has concluded an investigation into an incident in Contagem involving pastor Renata Kelly Rocha Vieira and furniture delivery worker Luis Henrique Godzikowski de Souza. Vieira has been indicted for bodily injury, defamation, and insult.

The investigation, which analyzed security footage and witness testimonies, refuted claims of self-defense. Authorities determined that Vieira initiated the physical confrontation on July 16 after a dispute regarding a sofa not fitting in a building elevator. The report states that Vieira struck the worker three times in the face, bit his left leg, and threw a stone toward him.

Additionally, the investigation found that Vieira used her Instagram account, which has over one million followers, to post insults against the worker, calling him a “bandido” and “vagabundo,” and making comments regarding his sexual orientation. These online attacks are expected to increase the potential penalties for crimes against honor.
