Pastor Lorenzo Sewell warns of divine judgment over Islam's influence

Pastor Lorenzo Sewell, senior pastor of 180 Church in Detroit, has warned that the United States could face divine judgment if Christian leaders do not actively oppose the growing influence of Islam in the country.

During an appearance on the “Disturbing the Peace” podcast with Pastor John Amanchukwu, Sewell discussed his participation in an August 18 anti-Islam protest outside a Dearborn, Michigan, city council meeting. Sewell accused Dearborn city leaders of providing preferential treatment to Muslims and claimed the city was operating under Sharia law.

City officials have denied these claims, stating that no local legislation implementing Sharia law exists in Dearborn. Sewell argued that Christians must be more vocal regarding religious influence in Michigan and across the nation, comparing the current situation to previous cultural battles involving abortion laws and prayer in schools.
