Pastor Paul Enenche condemns Afrobeats as harmful to Nigerian youth

Nigerian pastor and televangelist Dr Paul Enenche, senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, warned that many Afrobeats songs lack meaningful lyrics and promote negative influences such as drug use. Speaking to his congregation, he described the genre’s content as "rubbish" and urged gospel artists to create music that offers positive, word‑loaded messages for young people.

Enenche emphasized the need for energetic gospel music that guides youths away from harmful friends and decisions, positioning his remarks as a call for culturally responsible entertainment in Nigeria.
