Italy police conduct widespread drug seizures and crime arrests

Law enforcement agencies across Italy have conducted numerous operations targeting drug trafficking, theft, and violent crime.

In Foggia, the Polizia di Stato executed a major seizure of 860 kg of marijuana hidden in three buildings in Borgo Incoronata. In Crotone, Carabinieri arrested three men following the discovery of over one kilogram of heroin and approximately 61,000 euros in cash.

Other significant drug-related arrests occurred in Perugia, where police seized large quantities of hashish and marijuana along with a firearm, and in Jesi, where a 25-year-old was arrested with 163 doses of cocaine. In Riccione, a 25-year-old was caught with 250 grams of cocaine hidden under a mattress.

Violent incidents were also reported, including a robbery in Monza where a 17-year-old was arrested after an attack on a shop owner, and a high-speed chase in Barletta involving a stolen vehicle equipped with explosives and burglary tools. Additionally, in Rome, the Polizia Ferroviaria prevented two scams targeting elderly citizens at Termini Station.
