Police in Pasuruan are investigating reports of suspected unauthorized mining activities in Lemahbang Village, Pasrepan District. Following community reports, the Pasuruan Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted a site inspection on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

During the initial check, officers discovered evidence of previous mining activities and a sign for CV Mutiara Timur at the location. While no active mining was observed at the time of the inspection, authorities are working to verify whether the company's activities align with its official permits and geographic coordinates. The investigation will involve coordination with relevant technical agencies to determine if any legal violations occurred.
