Patagonia hosts regional handball and basketball tournaments

Regional sports tournaments are taking place in the Patagonia region. The 3rd Patagónico Handball Tournament, organized by Club San Martín, features 12 teams competing in both men's and women's categories. Matches are scheduled between Friday the 14th and Monday the 17th, utilizing the Eduardo Rogolini and Integrador gyms. Participating teams include local clubs such as Universitario, San Martín, and Real Madrid, alongside competitors from Río Gallegos and Punta Arenas.

Simultaneously, the 40th edition of the Patagónico de Básquet por la Paz is being held in Punta Arenas, organized by Colegio Miguel de Cervantes. The basketball tournament includes eight teams, featuring international participation from Argentine clubs Hispano Americano and San Miguel. The competition includes regional Magallanes teams and Verbo Divino from Santiago, with medal matches scheduled for the weekend.
