Patagonia to host nutrition and food science conferences in 2026

Two major scientific conferences focused on nutrition and food science are scheduled to take place in the Patagonia region of Argentina in October 2026.

The 3rd Patagonian Nutrition Conference will be held in San Martín de los Andes on October 2 and 3. Organized by public and private sector professionals, the event has received provincial interest from the Neuquén Ministry of Health. The program will cover topics including nutrition in diabetes and sports, eating disorders, and clinical and pediatric nutrition through lectures, workshops, and networking sessions.

Simultaneously, the 1st Patagonian Food Conference will take place in General Roca, Río Negro, on October 1 and 2. Hosted by the Universidad Nacional de Río Negro (UNRN) and the Universidad Nacional del Comahue, the event is a collaborative effort involving five Patagonian universities. The conference aims to foster links between academia, industry, and the government, focusing on research, development, and food security.
