Patagonian ski resorts extend seasons due to heavy snow
Ski resorts in the Argentine Patagonia are extending their winter seasons due to significant snow accumulation. At Cerro Bayo in Villa La Angostura, recent heavy snowfall has resulted in nearly 95 centimeters of snow at the summit, allowing the center to guarantee services for skiers through the final weeks of September.
Similarly, Cerro Perito Moreno, located near El Bolsón, reports that current conditions and snow levels may allow the season to continue until the long weekend of October 12, weather permitting. To encourage spring tourism, Laderas Cerro Perito Moreno is implementing special discounts, including 25% off for residents of the Comarca Andina and 20% off for residents of Río Negro, Chubut, and Neuquén.
