Patek Philippe opens new standalone boutique in Kuala Lumpur

The Hour Glass has opened its first standalone Patek Philippe boutique in Kuala Lumpur, located at The Gardens Mall. This move marks a transition for the Singapore-based luxury retailer from an authorized dealer to a dedicated destination for the Geneva-based manufacture.

Designed in collaboration with Patek Philippe, the boutique is intended to function more as a private setting for collectors rather than a traditional retail space. The interior features a reception area with straw marquetry, an exhibition corner detailing the brand's history, and display niches finished in raspberry-red velvet to emulate the manufacturer's historic Geneva salons. The facility includes private presentation rooms and a lounge with a bar to facilitate timepiece handovers and private events.
