Pathologist to challenge Jeffrey Epstein suicide ruling
Michael Freeman, a professor and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine, intends to present new research that challenges the official ruling of Jeffrey Epstein's death as a suicide. Freeman plans to present his findings at University College London on November 16 and subsequently publish his research alongside the New York City Medical Examiner's autopsy files.
According to Mark Epstein, the pathologist's review includes a biomechanical analysis of the ligature pattern and an examination of images showing injuries that were previously unaccounted for. The report highlights several irregularities in the original investigation, such as the lack of photographs of the body at the scene and the failure to preserve or examine the bed sheets used as the ligature.
Mark Epstein stated that this scientific study was conducted on the researcher's own volition and bolsters his belief that his brother's death requires a deeper investigation.
