Pati Acting Regent addresses infrastructure quality and investment drives
Acting Regent of Pati, Risma Ardhi Chandra, is addressing two major regional developments involving infrastructure and economic growth.
Regarding infrastructure, Chandra plans to meet with the Ministry of Public Works to discuss the quality of sidewalk construction on Jalan Panglima Sudirman. The Rp14.3 billion project, which uses paving materials, has faced criticism for its execution. Chandra clarified that the Pati Regency government is merely the beneficiary of this central government program, which was planned in 2025 and is slated for completion by late 2026.
On the economic front, Chandra is urging the Pati Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) to actively attract investors. Following the Pati Business Forum, which secured investment agreements totaling Rp12.6 trillion from eight companies, the local government is moving forward with projects involving investors from China and Malaysia. One such priority is the development of a fishing port, for which land acquisition is currently underway.
