Pati police expose hoax involving staged abandonment of baby

Police in Pati, Central Java, have uncovered a hoax involving the reported abandonment of a baby boy in Badegan Village. A woman, identified as SL (47), initially claimed to have found the infant abandoned in a cardboard box on a roadside.

Following an investigation, authorities determined the discovery was staged. Police discovered bloodstains at SL’s residence, suggesting a recent birth. SL subsequently admitted that the infant is actually her grandson, born to her daughter, MS. Investigators believe the scenario was orchestrated to conceal the child's birth due to family issues.
