Pati Regency targets top-three finish at 2026 Central Java Sports Week

The Pati Regency contingent, consisting of nearly 400 athletes, coaches, and officials, is targeting a top-three finish at the XVII Central Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in 2026. Acting Regent Risma Ardhi Chandra officially released the delegation in Pati on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Chandra emphasized the need to improve upon the region's previous fourth-place ranking. He urged the athletes to prioritize sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork while representing the regency. The competition is scheduled to take place in the Semarang Raya region from October 25 to 31, 2026.

To support the athletes, the local government has prepared a bonus fund, which may be adjusted based on the final ranking. Currently, the bonus for a gold medal is set at Rp50 million. Chandra noted that the budget for these incentives was planned in advance and remains subject to the region's financial capacity.
