Pati residents hold demonstrations for social justice and transparency
Residents in Pati have engaged in a series of demonstrations to demand social justice and greater transparency. Protesters have voiced concerns regarding stalled development projects, resource management, and dissatisfaction with public services and environmental issues, including opposition to factory constructions that may threaten public health.
During a demonstration organized by the AMPB group at the Pati Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) building, an individual named Udin gained public attention after a video went viral. In the footage, Udin was seen sitting in a leadership chair with his feet on the meeting table, claiming that the building was constructed using taxpayer money.
The protests included demands for the government to expedite the passage of the Asset Forfeiture Law. Udin, who has a history of controversial actions during previous demonstrations, has clarified to local authorities that he is a private citizen despite social media speculation regarding his affiliations.
