Patience Ozokwor endorses Peter Obi for 2027 Nigerian presidency

Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, widely known as Mama G, has announced her support for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the 2027 general elections. Ozokwor made the declaration during an event organized by the group ‘Celebrities for Peter Obi’.

During her address, Ozokwor criticized the current economic state of Nigeria, describing the nation as a ‘spoiled child’ due to its inability to fully utilize its vast natural resources. She noted that other nations with significantly fewer resources have achieved better living conditions for their citizens.

The actress also highlighted the growing wealth gap in the country, expressing concern that while a small segment of the population accumulates wealth for multiple generations, many other Nigerians continue to face extreme hardship. She urged fellow celebrities to leverage their public influence and integrity to work toward the betterment of the country.
