Patient disappears from hospital in Conceição do Coité, Bahia

A man named José Raimundo dos Santos Veloso disappeared from a hospital in Conceição do Coité, Bahia, on Thursday afternoon. He had been transferred to the facility from Inhambupe following a motorcycle accident that resulted in three fractured fingers.

According to his brother, Cosme dos Santos Veloso, the patient began exhibiting signs of extreme agitation and nervousness in his room. José Raimundo reportedly stated he no longer wanted to undergo his scheduled surgery, which was set for approximately 2:00 PM. The patient removed his medical access, changed out of his hospital clothing into his own, and eventually exited the facility through a rear door in the garage area.

Family members and hospital staff conducted searches within the unit, but the man could not be located. As of Friday night, there were no updates regarding his whereabouts.
