Patlabor EZY releases limited edition Shanghai-tei curry

Genko Co., Ltd. has announced the release of a limited edition ‘Shanghai-tei Chinese-style Curry’ to commemorate the release of ‘Mobile Police Patlabor EZY File 2’. The retort curry, which is limited to 5,000 servings, aims to completely reproduce the recipe left by the character Sakimiya Hayao, the former owner of the Shanghai-tei restaurant featured in the series.

Developed with the cooperation of Tadashi Iwamoto, Chairman of the Japan Western Food Association, the curry includes ingredients such as pork, bamboo shoots, sweet bean sauce, oyster sauce, and shiitake mushrooms. Each 180g serving is priced at 864 yen (including tax) and is available through the official HEADGEAR shop on Amazon.

In conjunction with the curry, the company is also releasing ‘Nosan Nika Rice’, a 1kg brand of pesticide-free and chemical fertilizer-free rice grown in collaboration with the Kiname Rice Farm in Ora Town, Gunma Prefecture. Customers who purchase the rice and curry as a set will receive an illustration card by Masami Yuuki.
