Patna infrastructure: New flyovers and elevated road inaugurated

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has inaugurated new flyovers and an elevated road segment in Patna to alleviate urban traffic congestion. The project includes the Mitapur-Karbigahiya and Mitapur-Mahuli flyovers, alongside a 2.1-kilometer elevated section connecting Mitapur to Sipara.

The completion of the second phase of the Mitapur-Mahuli-Punpun elevated road means the approximately 9-kilometer route from Mitapur to Mahuli can now be traversed in roughly 7 to 8 minutes. This infrastructure is designed to streamline movement between key areas such as Patna Junction, R-Block, and the Secretariat, while providing a direct route for travelers heading toward southern Bihar regions including Gaya, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Arwal, Biharsharif, and Rajgir.

Officials from the Road Construction Department and the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation confirmed that final preparations, including lighting and signage, are complete. The new routes aim to reduce reliance on congested surface-level roads and improve connectivity for commuters and travelers passing through the city.
