Patna job aspirants protest Bihar Police exam cancellation

Job aspirants in Patna held a protest march on Monday to demand the reversal of the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector mains examination cancellation. The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) cancelled the recruitment process for 1,799 posts on September 23, citing “unavoidable reasons.”

Protesters marched from Gandhi Maidan toward the residence of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary but were intercepted by police at JP Golambar. The demonstrators, many of whom had already cleared preliminary and mains examinations, are calling for the immediate resumption of the recruitment process and the announcement of dates for physical examinations.

Some participants alleged that the government cancelled the exams due to political pressure from unsuccessful candidates. This follows a separate protest last month in which other aspirants alleged irregularities in the examination process.
