Patna Metro Rail: Bihar CM sets 2028 completion deadline

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inspected the ongoing construction of the Patna Metro Rail project at Nehru Path to review progress and ensure adherence to timelines. The Chief Minister set a target for the entire project to be completed by 2028.

During the inspection, which included visits to the Income Tax roundabout, High Court roundabout, and the area near the Hanuman temple, Choudhary directed officials to prioritize quality and safety standards. To improve pedestrian movement, he ordered the construction of two foot-overbridges on Nehru Path: one near JD Women’s College and another near the High Court roundabout-Bihar Museum junction.

Choudhary emphasized the need for organized coordination among executing agencies to minimize public inconvenience. He specifically instructed officials to focus on effective traffic management and ensuring smooth vehicular and pedestrian movement around construction sites to maintain civic ease during the development process.
