Patna pharmaceutical firm raided, three arrested over liquor recovery

Authorities in Bihar arrested three individuals following a raid at Cellulas Pharma Private Limited in Kankarbagh, where a large quantity of liquor bottles was allegedly recovered. The Bihar Drug Control Department conducted the inspection after receiving a tip-off.

During the operation, officials identified several regulatory violations, including the failure to produce mandatory medicine purchase and sale records. The firm was also found to be storing medicines across four rooms despite having a license authorized for only one small room. Additionally, officials noted unsatisfactory storage arrangements and the absence of required signage. Two expired medicines were seized, and samples of seven other medicines were collected for laboratory testing. The premises have been sealed pending further investigation.
