Patna police arrest suspect in 1.43 crore rupee cyber fraud

Police in Patna have arrested a suspect, identified as Aryan Kumar, in connection with a massive cyber fraud involving ‘digital arrest’ tactics. The scam resulted in a loss of 1.43 crore rupees.

Investigations revealed that a portion of the stolen funds, totaling 1.05 crore rupees, was transferred into a joint bank account held by Aryan Kumar and Umesh Singh. Of this amount, approximately 78 lakh rupees had already been withdrawn, while 27 lakh rupees remained in the account. Authorities have successfully frozen the remaining 27 lakh rupees.

During the arrest in the Raghopur area of Bihta, police seized two mobile phones, four SIM cards, a checkbook, a passbook, and an ATM card. Law enforcement is currently analyzing the seized electronic devices to uncover the broader cybercrime network involved in the incident.
