Patna University campus targeted by crude bomb attack

A crude bomb, identified as a sutli bomb, was thrown into the Patna University campus on Saturday, causing panic among students and staff during Teachers' Day celebrations. The explosion occurred between 12:08 p.m. and 12:10 p.m. in the area between the Geography and Psychology departments.

Preliminary reports suggest an unidentified individual hurled the device from a double-decker bridge on Ashok Rajpath. While the blast produced loud noises and smoke, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

Pirbahore police arrived at the scene immediately to secure the area. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has been deployed to collect evidence, and investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and the bridge to identify the suspect. Authorities are investigating whether the incident was motivated by a personal dispute or other factors.
