Pato Branco highway bypass reaches 14% completion

Construction of the Northwest Bypass in Pato Branco, Paraná, has reached 14.23% execution. The project, managed by the Paraná Department of Highways (DER/PR), aims to connect the PR-493 and PRC-158 highways to divert heavy vehicle traffic away from the urban perimeter.

To date, R$ 21,202,307.24 has been invested in the initiative. Current works are focused on earthmoving, vegetation removal, and the installation of drainage systems, including concrete galleries, culverts, and gutters.

The 14.34-kilometer bypass will feature two 3.6-meter wide lanes, 3-meter wide shoulders, and 8.12 kilometers of additional third lanes in steep areas to facilitate safe overtaking. The infrastructure plan also includes a viaduct at the PRC-158 junction, a roundabout providing access to the municipal airport, and new horizontal and vertical signaling.

The total projected investment for the project is R$ 148,900,000.00, with completion expected by December of next year.
