Patos de Minas audit flags R$ 4.4 million in suspicious medical contracts

An audit by the Controladoria-Geral de Patos de Minas has identified potential irregularities in medical service contracts managed by the Consórcio Intermunicipal de Saúde do Alto Paranaíba (CISALP). The investigation involves approximately R$ 4.4 million in suspicious contracts out of a total of R$ 15 million authorized during the analyzed period.

The report, which has been forwarded to the Public Ministry, highlights concerns regarding bidding processes, conflicts of interest, accumulation of positions, and inadequate expense oversight. Specific issues noted include the commencement of services prior to contract formalization and a lack of required technical qualifications.

Key providers under scrutiny include Grupo Pathos (R$ 1.26 million), Eduardo Alves de Magalhães Ltda. (R$ 958,000), Clínica Sylvio Nascentes Oftalmologia Ltda. (R$ 879,000), Caixeta e Santana Serviços Médicos Ltda. (R$ 754,000), and PSICLINIQ Serviços em Saúde Ltda. (R$ 558,000). Authorities are currently investigating the extent of any financial damage to public funds.
