Patos de Minas hosts events to honor Saint Vincent de Paul

The São Vicente de Paulo Parish in Patos de Minas is organizing a series of events to honor Saint Vincent de Paul and Blessed Antônio Frederico Ozanam. The program includes the 6th São Vicente Race and Walk, featuring a 5-kilometer course with various age categories and a kids' race. Participants can compete for trophies and prizes, including footwear and cash awards.

Following the athletic activities, the community will host a traditional commemorative lunch. The menu features regional dishes such as arroz carreteiro, costela com mandioca, and feijão tropeiro.

These celebrations coincide with the commemoration of Saint Vincent de Paul, a historical figure known for founding several charitable institutions, including the Daughters of Charity, dedicated to serving the poor and marginalized.
