Patos regional hospital treats 293 patients over weekend

The Complexo Hospitalar Regional Deputado Janduhy Carneiro in Patos recorded 293 emergency and urgent care attendances over a single weekend, from Friday evening to Sunday midnight. During this period, the facility performed 13 surgical procedures, 12 of which were classified as urgent.

Medical reports indicated that 29 patients were admitted due to traffic accidents, primarily involving motorcycles. Other frequent reasons for emergency visits included falls, pain complaints, animal bites, myocardial infarction, and strokes. Following medical evaluations, 56 individuals required hospitalization for observation and continued treatment.
