Patras teacher arrested over sexual abuse and child pornography allegations

A teacher in Patras has been arrested following a complaint from an 18-year-old former student. The victim alleges that the relationship began when she was 14 years old and continued until she was 17. The teacher, described as being approximately 49 to 50 years old, reportedly used his position to engage in sexual acts both at school and during private lessons held at the student's home.

During the police investigation, authorities seized the suspect's mobile phone and two computers. Digital evidence, including material described as child pornography and sexual content involving the complainant, was reportedly found on the devices. These items have been sent to forensic laboratories for further analysis to determine if other victims are involved.

The suspect reportedly did not deny the existence of the relationship during police questioning, claiming instead that he was “in love” with the student. He faces multiple charges, including child abuse, sexual misconduct with a minor, and possession of child pornography. The case is currently being handled by the judicial authorities in Patras.
