Patraix hosts pastry and storefront contest in Valencia

The Valencia City Council has announced a new edition of the ‘Patraix es vesteix de festa’ contest to celebrate the local tradition of the mocadorà, a traditional sweet gifted for the Day of Sant Donís.

The competition is open to bakeries, pastry shops, and traditional confectionery establishments located within the Patraix district. It features two distinct categories: the best artisanal mocadorà and the most original themed storefront display. A total of 800 euros in prizes will be awarded.

Interested businesses have until September 30, 2026, to submit their applications. Participating proposals must be available or on display between October 5 and October 9, coinciding with the celebrations for the Day of the Valencian Community.
