Patras celebrates the feast of Saint Gerasimos

The Holy Metropolis of Patras celebrated the feast day of Saint Gerasimos at the parish church established by the Kefalonian community in Patras.

On the eve of the feast, Bishop Chrysanthos of Kernitsi led the Great Panegyrical Vespers, delivering a sermon on the life and teachings of Saint Gerasimos, who originated from Kampisata, Kefalonia.

On the feast day, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Patras presided over the Divine Liturgy. His sermon addressed both Saint Artemios and Saint Gerasimos. He spoke regarding Saint Artemios' connection to Patras and his martyrdom, while focusing on Saint Gerasimos' incorrupt relics and the spiritual significance of the human body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. The event was attended by members of the Association of Kefalonians in Patras and local residents.
