Patras holds funeral for New Democracy official Giannis Koulouris

The funeral for Giannis Koulouris, a prominent political figure in Patras, is being held today, Monday, September 7, 2026, at the new Holy Temple of Saint Andrew. Koulouris passed away unexpectedly following a sudden illness and subsequent hospitalization.

A long-standing member of the New Democracy party, Koulouris held various leadership roles within the organization in the Achaia region. His political career included serving as President of ONNED Agios Dionysios and, more recently, as the Head of the Former Members Sector, a position he assumed in July 2025.

Beyond politics, Koulouris was active in the professional community, serving as the General Secretary of the Association of Shipping Agents of the Port of Patras.
